TOPIC: Talk Therapy as support for families raising autistic kids

Being an adult and living with the modern stresses of life, partnerships, work and parenting can be overwhelming for anyone; add Autism into the mix and things become even more complicated. Sometimes you just need a friend or sibling to occasionally vent to, but other times that is not enough. A therapist is someone with specific skills in helping people identify their deepest feelings, traumas, stressors and challenges to help them navigate difficult life experiences. Talk therapy for couples, whole families and individuals can be a profound recourse for those who feel that their lives aren't where they want them to be, and they don't know what to do about it. In therapy, we can process the huge feelings and complexities of life together, and you can gain emotional skills and understanding of self to live a more fulfilling life.
