NFAR Community Projects 2019

Each year, funds raised by the Race for Autism help to support autism programs and new initiatives in our community. Together, we have supported over 90 major initiatives, increasing the learning, social, training and employment opportunities for those with autism in San Diego.

The Community Projects Application Period is now closed.

Awards will be announced on Feb 1st.

DESCRIPTION:

Proposals are sought to create or expand programs that increase current level of treatment and services to those with autism in the San Diego region. Funding will be distributed based on the following criteria; Impact; Reach; Immediacy; and Relevance.

“NEW” To help applicants with the NFAR Community Projects Application process, we have put together a short POWERPOINT entitled "GRANTS RANTS".

APPLICATION DETAILS AND TIMELINE:

    - Applications are due by September 30, 2018

    - Awards will be announced on February 1, 2019

    - Awards range between $2,500 and $10,000.

    - Proposed project should be a 3 - 12 month effort and start in 2019. (Certain types of projects may extend up to 18 months.)

APPLICATION GUIDELINES AND RESTRICTIONS

    - Funds are to be used in the greater San Diego region.

    - Open to institutions doing research or running programs directly. 

    - Funds are to be used for programs and/or research applicable to autism and ASD

    - Funds are not to be used for general operating/OH costs

    - CVs should be condensed to no more than 3 pages long.
